Nariyal- malai Ladoo

Today its a sweet dish, its been long time since we started our blog and haven't mentioned any mouth-watering , easy homemade sweet. Its Nariyal- Malai Ladoo (Coconut  and milk cream sweets).

Ingredients:
  • Coconut powder 250 gm(dry coconut)
  • Powdered sugar 5 tablespoon
  • Milk cream (malai)4-5 tablespoon
  • Cardomem(elachi) powder 1/2 teaspoon
The Making

 Take the coconut powder in a bowl and pour the milk cream. Mix it well, now add the powdered sugar and elachi powder and mix well.  Try to take small amount of mixture and make small round balls of it. Garnish it with grated coconut. Your instant mithai is ready to be served.

Papad Ki Sabzi (Papadum-Tomato Mix)

It happens at times  that we  get bored with those typical vegetables having every time for dinner. Lets give you a dish which has no Vegetables in it... well precisely. Papad ki sabzi is a unique spicy dish which just melts in your mouth with its wonderful taste. Its very easy to cook and anyone....yes anyone can make it.


Ingredients:-
  • 1 spicy Papad broken in small pieces (I took Lizzat papad)
  • 1 chopped Tomato
  • 1/2 teaspoon Hing (asafoetida)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Jeera (cumin seeds)
  • 2 teaspoon Ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon Haldi Powder (turmeric powder)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilly powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 & 1/2 glass of water
  • Chopped green chillies for decoration 

The Making: Heat Ghee in a Pan, add Hing and Jeera  and do sorte. Now add the chopped tomatoes and mix well, we need to keep stirring till the tomatoes melt and liquefy. Once the tomatoes are done add salt, red chilly powder, turmeric powder and mix well. Add water and  bring it to boil. Now add the papadum pieces and turn off the heat. Put the lid on the pan for 5 mins. Garnish it with chopped green chillies.Your Papadum-Tomato Mix is ready to be served.

Aloo-pyaaz ka Paratha (Potato-Onion Paratha)

This is one dish which we have been indulging in since our childhood,everyone just love to have "Aloo-Pyaaz Ka Paratha"  but when it comes to making... everyone feels a bit jittery, scared and nervous. But hey not to worry anymore, here's a step by step making for your yummy mouth watering childhood delight.



Ingredients:-
  •   2-3 cups wheat Flour.
  •   1 & 1/2 cup water.
  •   4-5 boiled Potatoes
  •  One chopped Onion
  •  3-4 chopped green chillies
  •  Red chilly powder 1/2 tea spoon
  •  Coriander powder 1 tea spoon
  •  Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  •  10-15 tea spoon Oil


The Making:-


Step 1. Mix water and flour and knead it to make a soft dough. Leave the dough for about an hour.


Step 2.  To make the filling matter. Peal off the boiled potatoes and mash them. Add chopped onions, green chillies, coriander powder, red chilly powder, and salt. Mix well.
   
Step 3. Now roll out small balls out of the dough.  Press the resulting dough gently and dust it with flour. Smear a little oil in the center and then put some stuffing matter. Draw the edges towards the center to cover the mixture. Flatten to the size of roti.
Step 4. Place the paratha on a preheated Pan. After some time reverse the side of paratha. Do it when golden brown patches appear on first side.Sprinkle little oil and then flip again.Sprinkle oil drops on other side also. Cook till it is well done. Hot Paratha is ready.



Step 5. Serve with Chutneys , Mango pickle ,  Tomato Ketchup or curd.

Sabudana Tehri (Tapioca Mix)

Hey everyone... Krishna-Janmashtmi was around the corner.. so thought of sharing one of the dishes which we can have in Fast. Its known as Sabudana Tehri.



Ingredients:
  • Sabudana (Tapioca) 250 gm(soaked in water for about 7-8 hrs.)
  • One Tomato chopped 
  • One Potato chopped (very small triangular pieces)
  • 2 green chillies chopped
  • Black-pepper powder 1 tea-spoon
  • One Lemon's juice
  • Saindha- namak (raw-salt) as per taste.
  • Ghee 4 table spoon
The Making:- Heat the Ghee in a pan and fry the potatoes till they are golden in color. Add the soaked sabudana  and fry it for 2-3 minutes, stirring the same so that it doesn't stick around the pan. Now add the chopped tomatoes, green chillies, saindha namak(1/2 tea-spoon), black-pepper powder. Now mix all the ingredients and keep stirring for two minutes. Add lemon juice and serve hot. Its a yummy quick snack to have during the Vrat (fast), a different dish,less oily and easy to make. Try yourself and share your experience.
